cypherman
Hi all, I have just bought a Lima class 37 in BR green. There is a little paint wear on one part as shown in the picture. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good match for this colour so I can touch it up. Also does anyone know if the paints Lima used are acrylic. delticman
I wouldn`t worry too much about an exact match ( even an exact match would probably have a different level of sheen necessitating a blow over with a varnish), just mix something near as you can then, as its the lower bodyside, give the loco a fair old weathering. If you didnt want it weathered I would respray the entire body then re apply decals. Geoff
APT Fan
I managed to get an excellent BR Blue match using Railmatch paints on a Lima Class 55. If you click on the links the images should open.
cypherman
Hi Thanks. In the end I have used BB green made by Railwatch. It is a quite close match.
