Detailing Lima Grainflow PAA

I have 6 Lima PAA wagons in the green Grainflow livery which I intend to detail. As this involves removal of the moulded advert panel they will need repainted. I don't see a retailer selling a grainflow green paint so I assume that this will involve using a close equivalent or mixing shades to suit.

 

Does anyone have a recommendation for an available shade of green that matches well?

Have a wander round Halfords with it, see if there’s a similar coloured car spray available.

Precision used to do a 'Grainflow Green', IIRC; I used it when I modified an Electrotren bogie hopper. They don't seem to list it any more, but their web-site appears to offer some matches.

If you are going to repaint, then you might be better starting with the Bachmann 'blue' and re-springing it - the Lima 'Grainflow' livery has always sold well secondhand.

Thanks for the replies. I think a Railmatch DMU light green will be the best option.

The Lima model probably sells well because it is the most accurate. The Bachmann one is a different wagon design and the grainflow livery on it is fictitious...a bit like painting a deltic in large logo blue and passing it off as a 37...😉

yes I'm talking rubbish - I should have stuck to the bogie hoppers
