Northpoint
I was going through my DCC box the other day and came across this. There is no brand/ID on it. The only thing written on it is CONTROL 9. Presumably it is a stationary decoder of some sort and an ID would be useful. Anybody any ideas?
Crosland
What does the PCB silkscreen say for the connections to the 6-pole screw terminal? I don't think it's a DCC decoder, but could be wrong. The quality of the soldering and lack of cleaning suggests it was built from a kit.
RMweb Premium melmerby Posted May 19, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 19, 2022 (edited) It's probably a relay driver board The ULN2003 is a 7 output 50v/500mA open collector driver IC with 5v TTL input logic, which will come from the PIC 16F684 There is a 7805 (5v Voltage Reg), which suggestes the supply might be 12v DC or more. There isn't a bridge so DC seems likely There is a LED marked IR out which suggests Infra Red operation somewhere. What's the markings on the other terminal strip?
