A nice video of a preserved BR42 steam loco on a test run and it gets to haul a container train (though I think the BR186 electric was assisting!) The title mistakenly states 41 018 rather than 42 018!

The title is correct.

 

BR42 was the classification of the heavy kriegsloks (2-10-0).  The loco featured is a BR41 2-8-2, built by Henschel in 1938 as 41 018.  It retained that number throughout DRB and DB ownership, even when re-boilered and converted to oil firing in 1961.  Under the 1968 renumbering system, such oil-fired locomotives were numbered in the 042 series (the BR42 having disappeared from DB much earlier), retaining their former running numbers.
