silverlink
Just thought you would like to know that I have just fitted a sound decoder to the latest Hornby L1. Quite a job as there is very little room for anything. I will put a couple of pics on to show you. The speaker casing has to be cut down & the decoder has to be fitted in one of the tank sides. Have also added working lamp to front. Decoder came from Olivias Trains & sounds brilliant. Cheers silverlink
Marty Mc
Hi Very nicely done and excellent placement of the speaker. Great job and very neat looking. How do you plan to let the sound out? Have you considered "flyscreen" I use it all the time and put a real coal load on top. Looking forward to seeing some more pictures. Thanks for posting. silverlink
Thanks Martin, I am at this moment adding coal to a piece of plastic mesh which I understand is used on plasterboard joints which may be simular to what you use. I will post picture of complete loco when it is finished.
