Rather a quiet afternoon here. And the toilets were locked, which didn't help...

70812 and 70808 sit in the up refuge siding at Laurencekirk during a relay possession just behind the camera.

70808 was waiting to be hauled back south by its counterpart after failing while working the first possession train north for this job. 70812 replaced it at the front and completed the journey, but both locos could not return south on the same train due to double heading being forbidden on the Tay bridge. 66511 took the empty autoballasters back to Millerhill instead.

Later in the day, the lead pair could be found passing through York. The 70 was rather smoky at this point!

I wonder if any of these will be announced on Wednesday? Seem to have gone quiet on them. Was it 2019 the last ones were done? Colas logo has changed since then, Colas very much sought after and the intake mod ones are still sought after in FL livery over non modified ones.

The sun was still out earlier this afternoon when 158740 got back to Aberdeen, and here's a snatched photo of 70806 shunting the cement tanks at (very green and leafy) Craiginches. Not the easiest location to get pictures of, except from passing trains...
