Leicester class 27's

Recommended Posts

Last night I was going through a couple of my old notebooks, I do remember seeing, somewhere around 1963, that I noted D5403 heading out of Cambridge and taking the Loop (via St.Ives), towards March.

Well Stewart you'll be able to have a D5403 again soon from Heljan when the next batch arrive!

I've posted this before in another thread on the old forum but may as well slot it in here.... an unidentified one at Lilbourne on the Market Harborough - Rugby line, probably with a Leicester crew on board...

Phil - that Worcester shot is a gem, I wonder which way it got there.... down the Lickey or round the top via Stourbridge...?

Hi Nidge - subsequently have acquired more knowledge, apols for not replying sooner....

They used to come down on BNS - Malvern turns in the early to mid 60s - which would be ex LMS in origin, Scots used to work them occasionally - so my bet is down the Lickey

Phil
