Fairly obviously a dealer, and none the worse for that, and perhaps doesn't have time to photograph items in better locations and lighting, but it doesn't take long to put a neutral coloured cloth over a table or cabinet and shine an anglepoise on it...  He's got a fair eye for what stuff is worth, what it'll go for as opposed to what he can get, e.g. a Bachmann 56xx unboxed for £60 seems reasonable enough in the current market.

His listings were pointed out a few pages back, I had seen a few things I fancied at decent prices such as a Bachmann provincial 150 unit for £80 iirc, that’s not there now so it’s obviously sold, he does have the hattons Ltd Ed Mersey rail one up at the mo but it’s a bit more, had it been around the £100 mark I’d have gone for it!

It's a completely odd looking loco altogether.  A '50s Graham Farish perhaps?

Don't think so; this is more detailed and the GF had flangeless centre drivers.  Maybe a badly made Wills.  The rear pony, which should be a radial, is too small and set too far forward.  I can't ID the chassis, looks like a nickel silver foldup, but I'd expect to see brake detail on that.  If it runs well, then £40 might be worth it for the mech.

Rookie mistake - milk chocolate weathering when everyone knows that Bournville is dark chocolate.

Silly price but, for an internal user user around the boiler house of a major industry, not at all far from the truth, IMHO.

Lame sparse description too gets my goat...

Apparently it's a "Replica of: Advanced Passenger Train (APT)"? Must say, I have my doubts!
