The Fall & Rise of the 60's ( was The End of the Tugs?)

Its interesting what different parts of the railway get told isn't it? We were told that contamination was a big problem when they shared the hoppers with the stone traffic, hence why we got two dedicated (scabby) rakes of bogie wagons, one open boxes the other hoppers. Interestingly its the hoppers that are still wandering around, getting blacker and blacker with every visit to Middleton...

Don't you just love the railway rumor mill?

Short video of 60092 leaving Westerleigh, with return empties to Robeston. You can really hear those motors whining as it pulls away.

60055 must be the only 60 that has kept its original name.

All three of the DCR grey ones have their original names, 29 and 46 the other two.

Westerleigh again, this time back in time to 2009. Railfreight grey livery 60054, with petroleum sector decals, arrives at Westerleigh with 24 loaded TEA & TDA tanks.

A few weeks later, spring is in bloom as EWS liveried 60065 does the honours.

Still at Westerleigh, this time a couple of weeks earlier, 60068 doing the honours in the 6E41 empties to Lindsey (caption is wrong).

(Once again, this was taken from within the boundary of the gated crossing).
