When teaching PE in Seven Kings, we used to take a group of Yr 11s to Bowling in Dagenham each week.  The view from the windows was over the Dagenham Salt Flats, adjacent to the Thames.  They had a generous covering of new Ford cars, getting their first weeks/months long penetration of sea salt.
