Popular Post PaulG
I've just about finished Colchester Junction signal box, and now on to the point rodding and signal wires. Model based on 1921 photographs and a topographical survey. The locking room windows were bricked up c1950 as part of the Cold War precautions, as at a number of other signal boxes. RMweb Premium Popular Post t-b-g Posted May 1, 2022 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted May 1, 2022 A friend of mine has allowed me to post a photo I took of the new layout he is working on. He is the type that doesn't really seek publicity and isn't big on the internet/social media and he asked to tick the box on "no publicity" so I will respect that and not say any more other than it is O Gauge and the goods shed brickwork was all hand scribed to match the prototype. 38 16

RMweb Gold Popular Post Alister_G Posted May 3, 2022 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted May 3, 2022 (edited) It was mentioned to me that some people will be unfamiliar with the origin of the Ladmanlow photographs posted in this thread and elsewhere on the forum. There is no photoshop trickery involved in creating these images, instead the layout, which measures 6 feet by eighteen inches, is placed on a pasting table in a field, and then photographed against the real landscape behind. Wherever possible I have aligned the layout and camera angle in such a way that the background matches the layout: The aim of this was to fulfill the brief of this thread, and create photos of the model which look as realistic as possible. Thanks for looking, Al. Edited May 3, 2022 by Alister_G clarification 50 10
