Adrian Wintle Posted November 7, 2013 Share Posted November 7, 2013 I'd use an SD40-2 frame, cab, and snoot-nose and an SD45 long hood as a starting point if I wanted to make one. DelawareAndHudson Posted November 7, 2013 Share Posted November 7, 2013 Not positive yet, but I think from an SD40-2, you'll want the frame and walkway and the main engine compartment area including the dynamic brake and that's about it. I believe the cab and nose are new along with the entire radiator section. Fuel tank may even be new. Can't quite tell from that picture.
