RMweb Gold PhilH Posted November 24, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 24, 2013 Picked up on this from the Plattling webcam site. Shows position of passenger trains on the DB rail network. Interesting to see how the German rail network is evenly spread throughout the country. Yes, I am slightly bored.
ForestPines
Germany's a very decentralised country compared to most of Europe, and a lot of the main rail routes were planned and built before it existed as a country with a national government. Hence its railway map is more of a mesh than a radial pattern.
Padishar Creel
Hallo, I've only just seen this thread. Please note that the map only shows where the trains should be, based on timetabling and their most recent "call-in". Die Zugpositionen werden auf Basis von Prognosen berechnet. Die tatsächliche Position kann davon abweichen The second sentence says that their actual position may vary Even so a nice little way to pass the time, even better when you zoom in close up and watch them move!! es grüßt PC
