Simond
Thanks all, your kind thoughts & comments are much appreciated. For all its faults and the whinging & whining in the press, never forget what a good thing the NHS is! 2 10
RMweb Gold Mikkel Posted May 20, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 20, 2022 That sounds unpleasant Simon, good to hear that you got through it well. Makes the problem of modelling a slate roof seem less important. Well for a while at least 🙂 1

RMweb Premium Metropolitan H Posted May 21, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 21, 2022 Simon, Sorry to hear of your health event! I hope you have a good recovery - keep taking the tablets, exercise regularly without overdoing it and eat/drink sensibly. Having suffered a nasty early bout of covid in November 2019 - about 3 months before it was recognised as being at large! - I then suffered a similar "Heart-attack" a week after I thought the worst was over. Happily, a Friday breakfast time call to 111 resulted in an Ambulance crew at the door 5 minutes later, who confirmed my diagnosis and decide to take me on a "Blues and Twos" ride from Milton Keynes to John Radcliffe in Oxford. Straight into the operating theatre and a stent fitted - switching off the pain - I was into the recovery room by mid-day. I was released home on the Sunday p.m. - happy with the service. Unfortunately the recognised Pandemic commenced 4 months later just as I was supposed to start post-cardiac physiotherapy - which was then cancelled. I'm not as strong as I was, but I'm still here and enjoying the trains - of the "Deliberately Old-Fashioned 0 Gauge" variety. I look forward to more from Porth Dinllaen before too long. Simond
Hi guys, sorry, been a bit quiet on here of late. All well, anyway. I'm currently building a Timbertracks Devon lasercut kit of Tetbury goods shed, which is quite big & chunky, and a nice bit of design & laser work - it’s going together well, with modifications of course. What it does not have is a crane or cranes, which I’m sure the prototype certainly would have had. so a plea - if anyone has drawings or photos of the inside of Tetbury GS, or any other similar size/era, I’d be very grateful to see them cheers Simon
Michael Crofts
I have a few pictures of goods shed interiors in my collection but nothing from the area where Porth Dinllaen is located. However I think goods shed cranes were made by specialist manufacturers and similar patterns might be found all over the country.
