jhock
Just found this while doing some research, The slide show and backing song don't last (thankfully), it goes into a video. Can any one help to ID the wagons being used for the pulpwood, the first couple are what I call standard pulpwood rail cars, but the last few look like a hopper if some sort that has been adapted. Coal hopper, woodchip, any ideas?
JWB
I think the second style of car is actually the same as the first, with sheet metal added between some of the stakes. Presumably this keeps the shorter pieces from falling out in transit.
highpeak
Some still photographs of NBSR rolling stock including pulpwood racks is at [urlhttp://www.rrpicturearchives.net/rslist.aspx?id=NBSR[/url] Methods of hauling pulpwood have changed over the years, I posted some pictures of various styles of cars used by the old MEC on the pinned thread information on freight cars. jhock
I like the variation so I had a go at making one: Only done the one side so far, it is not the correct car, but the round house 60ft flats are cheap incase I make a hash of it.
