S7 Frenchie
hi, Can anyone tell me if it is possible to fit the JLTRT's class 08 diesel shunter out with scale 7 wheels ? I asked them the question, but I didn't receive any answer yet !! I guess no, but I want to be sure. Thanks.
Nicktoix
Also consider the modern motive power kit which is EXCELLENT. I have built two. I am fairly sure that you will get s7 wheels in and it has compensation designed in. It also much cheaper than the jlrt kit. Nick

Here's a picture under mine if it helps you. I don't know, maybe later yes, When I would have more knowledge.
JeffP
If Brian could measure the clearance across the inside of the frames, you could then research the distance across the fronts of the wheels, and see if there will be sufficient clearance. The thickness of both outside and inside frames makes me think probably not...again, the MMP will be the better choice.
S7 Frenchie
It seems complicated ! too much complicated for me ! At first, I am going to content with building some wagon kits, and I will see later for a locomotive one. Thanks for your help.

Nick Nick, I have one waiting in the wings, do you have an online build thread anywhere?
JeffP
There is a part-build, which never got beyond the chassis, for some reason, here: http://www.7mmlocomotives.co.uk/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=
The Nth Degree
Thanks, Jeff. I read that and it was really good until... it stopped. I may ask Simon if he finished the rest of the build and documented it. There was another thread somewhere which got completed but there were some issue with the frames on his particular build. I'm looking forward to you starting your 31, by the way!
F-UnitMad
The Dapol 08 should be arriving soon. I do apologise for marking your post 'funny' - no offence intended at all; having waited some while now along with everyone else for the Dapol 08, the cynic in me couldn't help smiling.... Nicktoix
Nick, I have one waiting in the wings, do you have an online build thread anywhere? I build them before the days of RMWeb and didn't take pics. All MMP kits are good to build and fully detailed. Nick

It sounds like some modelling is needed.
F-UnitMad
It sounds like some modelling is needed. Oh yes, plenty of that going on in F-Unit Land.... just not an O Scale Class 08, as it's not a type I actually need, but at the price Dapol stated, for an RTR loco that would save time and be an affordable "impulse" purchase - not a common luxury in O Scale - well it would be rude not to buy one... if & when it eventually appears....
