P58586
I'm currently building three PALBRICK Bs on Skytrex chasses bought a couiple of years ago. Bodies are being made from Slaters Plastikard and Evergreen strip, with removable sides using metal "U" section brass. Chloroform and Dichloromethane has been used as a solvent to weld the body parts to the chasses. Here's the thing, due to having made a calculating error, the ends had to be removed from the floors. They came off easily...too easily! I found that they were only glued, rather than welded together. Would somebody out there please tell me which chemical will weld them together?. I can get my hands on most organic chemicals. Very best wishes, Peter Prydderch
Phil Traxson
If these are resin chassis there isn't a solvent for them, you'll be wanting superglue! Phil T.
P58586
Dear Phil, Thanks for that. I was hoping for a weld, but your suggestion has worked just fine. The second ends are in place now. Very best wishes,Peter
