B15nac
Hello I want to model 4079 pendennis castle in the condition it ran Z48 in 1964! She was in very used but clean condition! How's it best to get that finish? Is klear good for this? I normally use humbrol weathering powders for my weathering but I would like to get this one just right! Any advice would be great Kind regards Neil
westerner
Here's my Castle lightly weathered but kept clean. Very light weathering and when dry given a coat of Klear
B15nac
That's the finish I'm after! Looks great would I need a air gun to get a finish like this? Thanks for your help! Kind regards Neil
Coppercap
Not a criticism of your good handiwork, but doesn't that sheen really seem to show up those unprototypical horizontal seam lines on the boiler barrel that Hornby seem to specialise in? If it does it does. Neil. I'm sure you could get the same affect using a brush.

Hi Your castle looks great, a little bit of additional weathering will hide any seams on the boiler. Great work. Regards David
