RMweb Premium pylonman Posted February 13, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 13, 2014 A great fan of the FGW Barbie livery and variants. Currently producing a Night Riviera train, (Loco "Totnes Castle", Bachmann, via Kernow Models) Happened to see: by accident that FGW have their own Gronks. Thought this would be a break from the main project. Purchased a used Gronk in Rail Blue. Repainted in FGW color scheme as 08822 "John". Decals from Railtec. Missing decals are "Batteries", "Battery Isolator", and the nameplate. Can anybody help ???
Pugsley
Possibly, have you got a picture of what you're after?
RMweb Premium CloggyDog Posted February 13, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 13, 2014 For the battery isolators, I'd cut down some OLE flashes (the modern type, as you've fitted) Nameplate... I know a couple of the manufacturers have done generic 'name' name plates, but possibly not in Rail font?? Suggest checking the usual suspects (Shawplan, Fox, etc) You'll also be wanting some strips of wasp stripes
Tim H
Rare case of an FGW gronk making it to Paddington wit the ECS for the sleeper. This one's 08836 in a different variation of the livery.
RMweb Premium pylonman Posted February 14, 2014 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted February 14, 2014 Thanks for the input everyone. Gronk not quite finished : decoder and lighting to fit. I need the TOPS panels and shed decals, and as pointed out, wasp stripes. The long handrails to refit.
