Not really much done of late, buffers have been painted and masking removed off the windows. All I need to do now is finish detailing the front and purchase some frost grills (unless I find the originals), then it'll be all ready for the sound chip.

Cheers

Well after a week of doing almost nothing I've managed to spend an hour or two weathering the n gauge 37 ready for its new home on Barnsley Central courtesy of Mr bri.s. Another hour or so tomorrow should have it nearly finished with a bit of luck. As with the oo gauge 37 the same techniques have been applied just a bit more fiddly!!

As always feel free to fire away with any questions and feed back gratefully received.

Have you tried making "masks" for the "sweep" of the windscreen wipers? Apologies - I've not read every post as I only just found your thread....

Drivers don't like peering through dirty windscreens any more than you would in your car.

Good stuff.

Best, Pete.

Hi Pete

Thanks for the comment, I have started using masking tape on the more recent weathering projects but it was a bit fiddly for the n gauge 37 though, I normally go over the windows with a baby bud and white spirit/turps etc. That's on tonight's todo list along with the buffers and other little touch ups etc. hope you like the thread and continue to follow, thanks again for your comments and advice.

Many thanks

Paul

Thanks Bob

Managed to get it finished only a few little bits were left to do but all done now, and thankfully Pete the baby buds did their trick ;). All packaged now ready for its new home and although a bit fiddly it was fun to do.

Hi guys

Sorry I haven't been updating but I've been away so nothing got done until tonight. I've still got my green 37 to finish, but as I only had an hour free I decided to weather my surplus to requirements n gauge class 44. It still needs detailing and buffers weathering etc but the under frame and bogies are more or less finished. The body has been weathered and brushed off in the usual manner, but I may give it another dusting of powders depending on what people think. Sorry there's no 'before' shots but I basically forgot as I rushed in on it. The model was in prestine condition to start with though. Hope you all like it and as always questions good and bad always welcome.

Cheers, Paul

Sorry guys just mucking around a bit tonight when I got in, I wouldn't normally dream of doing it to a diesel but I haven't got any kettles to condemn, snd it's still looking pretty poor to.

Normal service will resume as soon as possible though!!

Hi

Been a bit tide up with the layout over the last week so haven't done any weathering sorry. There's a a couple of projects coming up though, and a few final touch up jobs to the likes of my 40 and 47. My 37 is waiting for a new PCB board so once that is fitted there will be photos and a video of the finished model.

Cheers
