RMweb Premium melmerby Posted February 14, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 14, 2014 When I logged on to RMweb this evening I was greeted by a message to take part in "RMWeb's annual survey". I did not know what it was so I shut it down. I now get bombarded by pop-ups from someone called Buzz Search I can't stop them, Adblock wont stop them, neither will anything else. My Norton Internet security is up to date and scanned and shows nothing untoward. (I haven't been on any other websites on this computer since I last used it) I've tried re-setting some settings in Firefox, that didn't help. Any suggestions Cheers Keith
Andy Y
You'll have some spyware/ad ware on your system. Install and run malwarebytes, that should clear it out.

RMweb Premium melmerby Posted February 15, 2014 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted February 15, 2014 Seems to have done the job. 9 instances of Malware/Adware associated with "BuzzSearch" found and removed. Looks like it had been downloaded somehow around a month ago and only showed up yesterday. (A sleeper perhaps?) Cheers Keith
