Jeff Smith
Radley Models web site has been down for more than a week - anyone got the inside track? Has Phil gone out of business?
johnb
Phil was fine and trading happily at Watford Finescale show on Sunday.

GoingUnderground
When I spoke to him last week he said that he would be at the Acton Depot Open Day next month. If in doubt phone him, 01425 479377.
Arun Sharma
Phil is having his server changed over from BT to a different one. It ought to be up and running with some new features [but still the same wierd spelling!] shortly.
OntarioSouthland
Good to know. One day the site was there, the next it was gone!
Lord of Narnia
The website now appears to be back on line!
Jeff Smith
Still a little quirky though, and needs a spellcheck. Its strange that the Metrovic BoBo still appears in heading photos but has not been available for many months. Nice to see the Pannier lining back on though - this is a Modelmaster product and has not appeared on their web site for years.
Lord of Narnia
I see the Bo Bo is available as a body spare. As is the battery loco although that hs not listed either! Hope that has not been dis continued!
Lord of Narnia
Actually it has now been added to the site!
GoingUnderground
Still a little quirky though, and needs a spellcheck. Its strange that the Metrovic BoBo still appears in heading photos but has not been available for many months. Nice to see the Pannier lining back on though - this is a Modelmaster product and has not appeared on their web site for years. I have today ordered a new Bo-Bo from Phil, but I will have to source the motors myself. The current version of the MetroVic uses Black Beetles, 36.5mm wheelbase, Gauge HO, 14mm dia Disc Wheels with RP88 profile and 15:1 gear ratio. Branchlines, to name but one supplier, do them. If you want a MetroVic, go ahead and order one, I'm sure Phil would be delighted to hear from anyone wanting one as he told me a few weeks ago that since Heljan announced their version at Warley that enquiries and orders had totally dried up. Lord of Narnia
Great I should order my two soon then. The RTR version may not be all that....
Jeff Smith
Phil's body body detail was a bit heavy so I built a body from plasticard but I did use his bogey sides. I ordered a Bull Ant motor and dummy.
GoingUnderground
Phil's body body detail was a bit heavy so I built a body from plasticard but I did use his bogey sides. I ordered a Bull Ant motor and dummy. I agree it's not perfect. My main objection is the chassis. The sides are too deep, the solebar is too thick, and the buffers are wrong, but like the body, that's all been inherited from the original white metal castings going back to Harrow Model Shop days. I'm currently looking at how to rework the chassis to get something closer to the prototype. But that hasn't stopped me buying. Until Heljan produce their model, and their record on accuracy leaves something to be desired, Phil's kit is the only option that I know of.
