Spitfire2865
Hello everyone, Im hoping someone could help me. Im repainting and re-lettering a Dapol LMS van and Im wondering what range of numbers would be appropriate for the unfitted version of diagram 1891. If anyone has a picture of an unfitted example, that would be very useful. But numbers alone would be extremely helpful. Thank you Heres a picture of what I have so far. Got the placements from a picture of a fitted wagon of the same type.
PenrithBeacon
Running Nos 500000-500999 fitted; 501000-501495, 501500-502999 hand brake only. See An Illustrated History of LMS Wagons Vol 1 R J Essery 1981 B 0-86093-127-7 Oxford Publishing Company. An unfitted van shouldn't have the 'X'. jwealleans
I think an unfitted van would fall under the Common User agreement and so shouldn't have the 'N' either.
Spitfire2865
Thanks. Should've waited on applying decals. Haha. I always rush into things. Should be able to remove those. Thank you for the numbers. As. I dont have access to the book, could you tell me if these wagons had long or short brake levers?
