jpendle
I'm modeling Bolton in the present day and while my passenger workings are reasonably accurate, my freight workings are based on rule 1. Now I saw on Big Jim's thread that last summer the Colas logs ran through Bolton for a while. So does anyone know of any other freight that runs through Bolton? Thanks John P
RMweb Premium newbryford Posted February 23, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 23, 2014 Not quite freight, but there are occasional (yellow) test trains to vary the incessant DMU stream. (One of which is the hourly Manchester-Clitheroe that passes my back door) Holme Tunnel on the Copy Pit route being closed for the last few months, the diverted 6M32/6E32 Lindsey OR-Preston bitumen train has been routed Manchester-Wigan-Preston instead of via Bolton, so you could easily bend rule 1 a bit. A quick look at Bolton in realtime trains shows nothing but passenger and ECS tomorrow. http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/advanced/BON/2014/02/24/0600-2000?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt Cheers, Mick
RMweb Gold TheSignalEngineer Posted February 23, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 23, 2014 Only one freight path is shown in the WTT, 4S13 0407 Earles Sidings to New Cumnock. This rarely if ever runs. An engineers train or positioning move occasionally shows up in realtime trains.
jpendle
Serves me right for modelling a freight desert! I suppose now I should model Bolton while there's a closure on the WCML at Wigan Hopefully once the wires are up there'll be an incessant stream of EMU's as well as DMU's Thanks, for the replies.
