RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted March 5, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 5, 2014 Any ideas anyone? I've searched the usual haunts. Thanks Phil
coachmann
Can't help I'm afraid unless one tries MJT LNER coach grab handles. This is one area where handles shouldn't fall off 'cos they shouldn't be separate when plastic. This is one area where design clever or whatever has worked well for decades. MikeTrice
The LNER ones are not right for Maunsells. Roxey are probably your best bet if going down the etched route.
RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted March 5, 2014 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted March 5, 2014 Thanks chaps. Yes I had thought Roxey. I've used them before on a Kirk Maunsell and they looked OK. P
Butler Henderson
What is the Roxey part number as the Roxey ones I got are completely wrong in terms of matching Hornbys
RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted March 6, 2014 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted March 6, 2014 4A120. I may have to replace a whole side then if one is kaput but the other side is OK. It's like the roof vents, some of those are missing too. The Hornby ones are exquisite compared to cast ones, so I have a dilemma with those unless Hornby come up trumps and could supply a load of spares (very much doubt that). I suppose I could sacrifice one coach roof making vents available and then re-vent that single one, or find some scrap coaches with a reasonable roof. The latter could be difficult.
