Locomotion Models Manager

Shildon

£25,000 pro rata’d

 

20 hours per week

 

Locomotion – part of the National Railway Museum – was the first national museum to be built in the North East.  Sited at Shildon, the home of the first ever steam hauled passenger train which operated during the opening ceremony of the Stockton and Darlington railway in 1825. 

 

Locomotion Models is a successful venture creating the national collection of heritage locomotives in miniature. We work with the market leaders in miniature model railways to create exclusive models which will sell through our award winning website.  We have ambitious plans for future development and profit growth over the next 3 years.

 

We are recruiting a Models Manager to develop and operate the business during this exciting period of growth.  You will have in depth knowledge of the market for model railways understanding the needs and wants of railway modellers.  You will have proven success in contract negotiations and management and have up to date knowledge and be skilled in the delivery of emarketing activity.

 

You will ideally have experience of sourcing railway models products and at operating fulfilment and customer services or be willing to learn.  You will have a proven track record in management of a business or profit centre with profit and loss responsibility and reporting.
