railroadbill
In the latest Kernow newsletter they mention the N gauge 14xx + autocoach as being in stock. Presumably this is a re-run of the set that was made a while ago? Could anyone comment please on how well/reliably they run, particularly over points. alibuchan
My 14xx from ages ago runs really well very rarely stalls on points. You just have to remember it is quite an old model but it's a good starting point for a detail job. Go for it they are a quite nice little loco. Roy L S
The loco picks up from all six wheels and the rear wheelset is sprung which means pickup is generally pretty reliable even over dead frog points. I have two BR ones from the first batch and they are very nice little locos, albeit not quite up to the current "state of the art*. RMweb Premium Kris Posted April 12, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 12, 2014 My first batch one (purchased on release day at Warley) is a lovely runner, and has no problems with points.
railroadbill
Thanks, Alistair Roy and Kris for the advice, sounds like 14xx will be worth getting. Cheers, Bill
