Hi

I was hoping that someone maybe able to help me with the following request..

If anyone has details relating to passenger/ parcels trains (formation and stock numbers) at Crewe seen during 1977/8 please would they be kind enough to share it with me ? Any information would be appreciated.

I am currently working on a 00 model of Crewe South Junction during this period and this information would help me with modelling the prototype.

Thanks and regards

Neil.

There used to be an 00-silly-o-clock (maybe about 0020) from Rugby to Crewe parcels; it was the first train I worked on BR as a secondman. It was a class 83 and a Southern utility van! Overpowered or what? With 3 men as well...

Here's a couple of visits from your time frame and just after.

Throughout, I've not recorded regional prefixes except for some pre-BR designs and a few oddments. You'd have to find an RCTS coaching stock book of the period to work out the prefixes
