RMweb Gold Re6/6 Posted April 22, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 22, 2014 I'm looking for recommendations for weathering books. I already have Welch's 'Art of Weathering', Shackleton's 'Weathering Locomotives' and Small's 'Weathered Steam Locomotives'. There have been a few new ones (from magazine publishers etc.) that I seemed to have missed. Also is there anything out on coach weathering? Many thanks all. RMweb Gold Zero Gravitas Posted April 22, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 22, 2014 Couple of Suggestions: Tim Shackleton's "Weathering rolling Stock" (ISBN 978-0-7110-3758-) is excellent - and covers coaches. Hornby Magazine Skills Guide Weathering (977-2-0534-5600-4 is the number on the barcode, but I'm not sure it's an ISBN) - a collection of articles by Mike Wild and Tim Shackleton (incudes weathering of BR Mk.1 coaches). I have both - but if you're getting just one I recommend "Weathering Rolling Stock". Hope that helps. Best Regards, ZG.
