Saddletank
Your shed area is looking strikingly similar to what I was planning on Webb Lane, if I ever get the chance to crack on with it anyway. Looking good, keep going!

durham light infantry
Thanks Doug. I will be at Locomotion this weekend playing with 0 gauge! Should be interesting getting in and out of our villages next Saturday morning with the bands going to the Miners Gala. Perhaps I should run some special trains On Dunelm? durham light infantry
Speed restriction signs?? I love your optimism!! Looking good. Mike. Thanks Mike. It's only 25 coming out of the back platform road and 35 from the front one. With the relay boxes and signals they will add some period detail. They are the laser cut ones from York Modelmaking btw. durham light infantry
A photo update for Emre and anybody else still following, which after Thirsk yesterday appears to be quite a few of you. In answer to one of the most frequently asked questions, the weight of the layout without cassettes is 7.8kg A view over the stabled and fuelled locos towards the station with the new canopy framework (Metcalfe) In front of the shed doors, with a lone BG and some brutes on the platform. Looking over the fuelling point towards the 'Drain' and station throat. A 40 emerging from behind the period poster hoarding heading for the fuelling point. Just as the mid afternoon train arrives from Darlington, a Cravens 105 displaced from Kings Cross by electrification. At the platform awaiting departure. The 105 gets the green light, while the driver of the 40 is still having a fag and a enjoying the crack in the cabin. The 105 gets the right away, and the driver of the 31 sets off via the 'Drain' to the lower yard. As a result of Thirsk, I have agreed to show "Dunelm" at Selby Model Rail exhibition on Saturday 30th August. Mike

mason
This looks great, to be honest I wasn't sure at the start and thought that it was possibly to much for the space, but as I continued through the thread I was pleasantly surprised at how it actually works and I think it's great. Nice job and I look forward to seeing it progress

Nice job and I look forward to seeing it progress Coming along extremely well Mike! Sorry for not noticing, I've been away on holiday so haven't had a chance to catch up properly on here, but looking good, keep it up! Thanks Guys. Next job before the end of the month is to do something with the backscene. I have thinking about scribing the Ratio concrete fencing into something a bit more recognisable around here. Prototype already done, funnily enough Brian at Smart Models has just done something similar. With the backs of terrace housing behind that, and in the distance a local landmark as an establisher. Structure painting is ongoing, starting with the bridge girders and disused water tower. Mike
durham light infantry
Dunelm will now be appearing at the Tyneside Model Railway Exhibition at Gateshead Stadium on 15th/16th November. Further and final tweaking will take place before the show and I will post photos of the final leg. I have also acquired another guest operator for the fiddle yard, altogether now.... durham light infantry
You will surely get a visit from Monsieur Inspector Cluseau now ..... There will be no Minkeys on this layout. durham light infantry
Hi Mike, how you getting on with Dunelm? Want to sell it yet? :-) Hello Lee, and everybody else reading. Progress was put on hold with my Dad being seriously ill. Back to it now with forthcoming appearances at Spennymoor 9/10 May, Locomotion Shildon 6/7 June and an approach from the revived Darlington show in September. After that I may consider selling. Some photos taken yesterday with my phone at Ormesby Hall. The backscene is a huge difference. Mike
