Blog- Maurice's Blog - Baseboard ends

Recommended Posts

Here we see the first stages of making a rather complex set of ends that join four boards together.

To add to this two of the boards have curved edges that will split what would be an otherwise very wide board down the middle, following the curve of the platform wall. To achieve this the full-scale Templot printout was placed on the lining paper with a suitable piece of thin batten clamped in place following the curve. This was used as a guide to cut through the Templot and the lining paper. When the batten was removed the Templot was taped back together for future reference and the plan of the board built up on the lining paper. This will also be used the cut the sheet of 6mm ply for the top of the board.

The other end of the board is equally complicated with another two boards being added.

Will keep you posted.
