GWR88
Hi all, Ive been toying with the idea of building a rat rod/hot rod garage on my layout in the corner. It would be a simple garage with a few rat rods sitting about, nothing fancy BUT! Would anyone be interested in custom built model rat rods? Im thinking of building mine from copper sheeting and wire so they have that 'look' and if they go well, would anyone maybe want one or two? This isn't me offering (yet) just dipping my toe and asking. If anything thinks its a good idea, how much could i sell them for maybe? If you've read this far you are a true hero Lloyd

RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted May 14, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 14, 2014 Rat rods were not and are not very common in the UK largely due to the climate and making such vehicles road legal. Oxford make the Ford Popular, which seems to be the favourite donor car in the UK, in both scales, fitting one of these with suitable wheels and paint finish might be a better idea. Cheers phil At 5.99 a pop i'd have to potentially sell them at a higher price tio make money. Plus scratchbuilding them a bit more ratrodish!
