Raised On Steam
Hi, my first post on here. I'm gathering materials for a Tyne Dock 9F conversion or two and amongst my research material is the '9F in detail' book which is a terrific resource. BUT. Can anyone out there shed light where the steam pipe from the westinghouse pumps connected to the manifold on top of the firebox? Anyone have a pic? I've trawled Google images and found nothing, and every reference I've found to doing the conversion (even Dave Alexander's otherwise excellent instruction sheet) miss this connection off. Even a close up of the BR standard manifold itself would be a help so I can see where it should go. Was it where the carriage heating pipe would connect on Britannia's? Raised On Steam
No luck so far. I'll just have to make an educated guess. I thought one person might have known.
sir douglas
you might get a better result if you tried asking on the Tyne dock to Consett thread http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/15402-the-tyne-dock-consett-thread/ regards, Sam.
