Great Western
I'm looking to acquire a Peco O scale Double Slip for my new train set, but I'm not sure if I have the technical knowledge to wire it up ready for DCC operation. I assume looking at the Peco website that all the O scale turnouts are fully live frog, so are ready to go DCC wise. Does the double slip require any special wiring, or can it be plumed into the rest of the track work as normal with plastic fish plates on all toes, with a central power feed ? Kind Regards
mikeg
The simple answer is YES, just treat it as two points back to back and use the point motors to switch the frogs at opposite end, or use frog jucers if hand changing which is what I did until I used cobalts with the DCC. regards mike g
Great Western
So, apply the power supply to the centre or ends of the 'two points', isolate with plastic fish plates then motor as with a normal turnout ? Also can I used normal PECO point motors designed for OO and N with O ? Id like to switch to the slow action motors in time. Regards
