DaveArkley
Does anyone have access to a photograph (preferably colour) of one of these. I'm looking to repaint an Umber/Cream one for use in the 60s. Thanks Dave
woodenhead
Pullmans in Maroon only applies to West Coast Railways I believe. In service they went from Pullman livery to reverse Blue Grey in

Thanks woodenhead Cheers Dave Weren't there some that were used as catering vehicles, and painted maroon, then blue and grey? The name 'Hadrian Bar' rings a vague bell
Merfyn Jones
Hadrian Bar went to reverse grey/blue then to the normal blue/grey. None were maroon.

Cheers Dave From the excellent 'http://www.emgauge70s.co.uk/proto_pullman.html site (E354E) E354E differed slightly to the rest of the parlour seconds, and was designated as a bar car. From new it was called The Hadrian Bar, and after transfer to BR (M) it became the Nightcap Bar, wearing the standard blue grey livery for use in overnight Euston to Glasgow sleeper trains. Unlike the other parlour second cars, it lacked the 2 large opaque windows. Noted on loan to BR (M) for use in the Night Limited train in June 1969. Noted at Derby works on 16/08/69 in umber & cream awaiting attention. Repainted into corporate blue / grey livery with red cant rail band, lettered Nightcap Bar and numbered M354E October 1969 (paint date 10-10-69). Noted Wolverton transferred to LMR 18/10/70.
