Tim Taylor
Hello, i'm currently modelling an Eastern Region layout circa 1955-63 set on the sea front. I'm thinking of adding a camping coach but i'm not too sure what the prototype would have been based on. Hornby are releasing a MK1 version although that seems a bit unrealistic as most camping coaches were ex-nationalisation stock. I've found there were six locations where the camping coaches were used on the Eastern Region (Felixstowe Pier, Culton Broad South, Mundesley, Corton, Hopton and Lowestoft North) but i can't find any record of what type of rolling stock these would have been. Has anyone got any knowledge of what the rolling stock would have likely to been?
