simons9
Hi I bought an oakville castle chassis kit and was looking for a body kit and stumbled upon die cast noble Harry Potter castle which Is 1:50 and looks like a castle rather than the hall used. Just wondered if anyone knows anymore about this item before I buy one and give it ago Thanks Simon
flexible_coupling
simons9, do a little quick mathematics. A nominal "ten feet" in 1:43.5 is near enough to 70mm. At 1:50 scale, it's a LOT smaller at very nearly 61mm. Think about your six-coupled wheelbase - there's no way in the world it's going to line up to the chassis kit you've acquired. Nice idea - and the kind of bodge you'd happily get away with in N between the various sub-scales.... but when your ratio starts getting closer to 1:1, you can't expect to have such an easy time. simons9
Thanks for your response, that's what I thought but I did a little further research and on a forum western Thunder apparently premier components have / were making up a frame pack specifically for this model, the individual measured it and it scales up, so maybe it wasn't 1/50 to start with. Will explore a little further as looks a good model if I can live with small discrepancies
