Jim Martin
This is something that everyone in the world except me probably knows, but is the radius of curved track (on a model, not the prototype) generally measured on the inside rail or on the centreline of the track? RMweb Gold grandadbob Posted October 19, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 19, 2014 I'm fairly sure it's the centreline.

Jim Martin
Thanks. Normally I guess that this wouldn't be critical, so long as everything in a design joined up all right; but I've been considering what's do-able with maximum baseboard sizes, so I wanted to be certain that the stuff I was thinking of would fit within a particular set of dimensions. RMweb Premium BR60103 Posted October 20, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 20, 2014 Centre line is used because you don't want the diagram shifting as you go through S curves. I believe that Lionel measure(d) their curves over the outside of the ties (sleepers).
