I don't thing the CP unit will stand a chance against the Bowser ones.  The Soo Line ones are better models as "The Soo" units in real life were pretty standard EMD product.

I like 'em!! - especially the Soo ones, of course!! ;) One teeny niggle is that I think the cabside numbers on the Soo units look a bit too big, but they're 'live with-able'.

At the risk of demonstrating my utter ignorance in other areas, can I ask what the traction motor gaff is?? (or how is it visible?) :blush:

The traction motor gaff is reference to the void at the back of the bogie.  This leaves a gap between the fuel tank and bogie looking very large.  Only visible from a direct side view.

I really like the way they run and sound, although the North American forums are having a real go at them about some detail issues.  I am lucky as there not too many SD40-2 experts in Northern Ireland!!!
