cromptonnut
I've just taken delivery of a Hornby 4-VEP (stop sniggering at the back) and I would like to remove the "Kent Coast" branding on the side. Has anyone done this and can recommend a simple way rather than painting over it? I'm assuming t-cut might work? I will give the whole unit a light weathering in due course but obviously any way to damage the paint as little as possible would be useful.
47407
T-Cut has worked for me in the past, but if the blue section was painted rather thinly, it can take it off.
SRman
If it is printed on top of the blue, you could try rubbing with a track rubber or a lolly stick. Like the T-Cut solution (which is also a good one to try), this relies on abrasion so could take of the underlying paint if you are too heavy-handed or if the paint is very thin. Guest
I managed to get the Kent Link logos off a blue/grey 2EPB with a little T Cut on a cotton bud, so that would be my first thought. Just go easy... the paint on the Bachmann 2EPB looked quite thickly applied but the 4VEP might be different.
cromptonnut
I've got other "higher priority" things on the to-do list this weekend but will give the T-Cut idea a go and report back on my results in due course. Many thanks.
