Bachmann Jinty - Chimney replacement sought.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm looking for help with a little problem. Just acquired a Bachmann Jinty knowing that it has the chimney top piece missing. Could anyone help me with either sourcing the specific Bachmann part, or if necessary a complete replacement chimney? There seem to be a few options from an entire detailing kit, to white metal and brass chimneys? Some of the suppliers however operate in the cheque book era which isn't ideal... any help much appreciated,

Thanks, Keith

At the complete detailing kit end, there is Brassmasters

http://www.brassmasters.co.uk/bachmann_jinty.htm

They accept electronic payment.

Alan Gibson do a Jinty chimney, page 9 of the catalogue - Colin will take orders over the phone and accepts credit cards etc.

Hope this proves useful

Oops - cross post!

Hey guys, I was going to mention the Brassmasters' kit, but it's a lot to spend for just a chimney (and there are two).  After fitting new steps and coal rails, my assessment is that you don't really need to unless you're very fussy.  This Bachmann loco is sooooo good.
