islandtraction
Hi,I'm looking for help with a little problem. Just acquired a Bachmann Jinty knowing that it has the chimney top piece missing. Could anyone help me with either sourcing the specific Bachmann part, or if necessary a complete replacement chimney? There seem to be a few options from an entire detailing kit, to white metal and brass chimneys? Some of the suppliers however operate in the cheque book era which isn't ideal... any help much appreciated, Thanks, Keith
brossard
You might have luck with AGW: http://www.alangibsonworkshop.com/ There are loads of details available. I've ordered stuff from there (and I'm overseas) and they don't just do "checkbook" although you may have to call with your CC details. John

Alan Gibson do a Jinty chimney, page 9 of the catalogue - Colin will take orders over the phone and accepts credit cards etc. http://www.alangibsonworkshop.com/Catalogue.pdf Hope this proves useful Oops - cross post! brossard
Hey guys, I was going to mention the Brassmasters' kit, but it's a lot to spend for just a chimney (and there are two). After fitting new steps and coal rails, my assessment is that you don't really need to unless you're very fussy. This Bachmann loco is sooooo good. islandtraction
As an update, I was able to source the chimney top piece from Bachmann Spares for £2 incl P&P, and immediate delivery!Keirh
bike2steam
Too late to mention that Brassmasters will supply items separately.
