Attention Parents, the International Space Station passes over the UK at 5.22pm on December 24th will pass and be visible in a clear sky for 3mins. A bright moving star from West to East.

I'm surprised that this service hasn't been privatised, and handed over to a TOC.

But, there agian, as it isn't a passenger turn, I guess one of the freight operators should be doing it by now!

Looks like its going to get cancelled, some fat kid apparently asked Santa for a bigger selection box which has put it out of gauge for the route. Network rail said they couldn't sort out an exceptional load form in time and they don't think it will run.

There was also an issue with non compliant lights on Rudolf's face and say if it does run he will have to be replaced by a cow as Santa doesn't sign horses!!!

Looks like it did run, Santarail did rather well having managed to get some more staff to help. It did have a cow on the front but it was a /3 one. They managed to get an adaptor jumper from Derby so it could multi with the reindeer, they did really well on the southern as the DC lines instructions state ' that udder's must be in the retracted position on third rail lines' and it got delayed leaving Tamworth as there was a last minute gauging problem which meant all reindeers in trailing positions must have antlers lowered and secured to pass under the bridge at branston jct, this meant that kids in sinfin will receive their presents in February!

But all in all not a bad performance

Merry Christmas to all

Russ
