Hobbyvalue of Monmouth

I'm a bit of a sucker for buying retro plastic kits and modding them during build, into something more UK-outline.

Tonight I stumbled through the surf across this seller with Ebay store, with multiples of the good stuff aboard.

This is just one example:

NB: Tanks are good because they kinda live outside normal scaling if you treat them nice.

Has anyone used this seller, or if you're from that part of the world, is there an actual retail outlet?  Seems like the sort of place you could lose me happily for a week*.

* A PM will get you SWMBD's mobile number.

The only hobby shop I can remember in Monmouth is one at the top of the main road Monnow Street, there are a lot of shops off the main shopping area though.

A quick Google search reveals no results, so it seems as though it may be a an internet business, the postal address is a PO Box probably at the main Royal Mail Delivery Office.

They also have an Amazon shop.

Hi,

Yes I have used them with great success and satisfaction.

From placing the original order to receipt I was kept informed throughout, I don't think you could ask for much more.

Usual disclaimer etc.

HobbyValue is the online retail outlet for

http://www.goldenvalleyhobbies.com/

Golden Valley Hobbies Ltd
Pontrilas Business Park
Pontrilas

Hereford

HR2 0AZ

01981 241237

which is a wholesale and trade operation.

Note same telephone number and names for both suppliers.

As Bgman states, I too, have been a satisfied customer.

Interesting that Golden Valley appears to have a connection with OnTracks - see here

http://goldenvalleyhobbies.com/index.php?page=about

However OnTracks is also said to be part of ModelFair who seem to have ceased trading as reported in this topic

http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/34661-modelfair-manchester/page-1

See my post #42 on 4 Feb

All very confusing about who owns which company and which are still trading - or is Golden Valley/HobbyValue now separate from ModelFair and OnTracks ?
