clecklewyke
A detailed and yawn-inducing trawl through today's honours list found no railway modelers had been awarded gongs. There are lots of politicians and business men (and a few women ) who are honoured for just doing the jobs they are paid for, and a few from the arts who might have inborn talent but not many who have inspired me. However there are many modelers whom I find inspiring. Do any of us deserve such recognition and if so, who? Ian

davefrk
My letter must be stuck in the post, again.... I know Jim Summers, former Chairman of the Scalefour Society got a gong a couple of years ago for services to 'Railway Modelling' as we ribbed him or maybe it was his years spent trying to keep the railways of Scotland running....
