Rob Evans
Nothing but praise for this company, wanted to order a number of bespoke numbers and changed the order a number of times before finally placing. All emails from Steve were polite despite my constant changes and once placed it arrived within 2 days, much faster than I was expecting for over 30 different locomotive numbers. Not used any yet but suffice to say on this level of service alone he has my business in future. Cheers Rob
Mad McCann
Steve's service is top notch. I ordered some OHL flashes and Caley transfers last week and they were here virtually next day. Best OHL flashes out there, btw. Railtec will be my first port of call should I need any more in future! Dave.

RMweb Gold Robert Shrives Posted November 9, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 9, 2015 Hi To add to this list of greats, I have enjoyed use of Steve`s skills and help - a recent special for 156 3 car hybrids was turned from mad idea to in my hand in 36 hours. Just spotted the 2mm NIR logos /stripes - now that will be handy for some with the new farish MK2s - now how about a class 80 demu- the Mk2 thumper BR never had Cheers Robert
Mike Storey
Steve - is there any chance you might produce "MAT Transauto" transfers in 4mm in the future (or just MAT would do)? They (Mainland Auto Transport) were a main provider of Autic and Cartic wagons in the 1980's. The logos are difficult to home produce due to the white lettering on blue backgrounds. Examples are shown on Paul Bartlett's site. The current Electrotren articulated car carriers are a good approximation of the Autics, but obviously need conversion to UK markings. I have about a dozen and I would guess many others have rakes as they seem to sell well in Britain. Thanks Mike

railtec-models
Important note about wait-times for custom work It's humbling that there continues to be such demand for custom work / new packs, though as stated on our web site and in email footers it is impossible to commit to timescales due to the absolute enormous quantity of requests that we receive every single day from a mountain of modellers. There is often only one pair of full-time hands which means it's a physical impossibility to get to all of them as quickly as we'd all like, and inevitably there can be lengthy wait times for some pieces of work, even if they may seem fairly straight-forward. So, each email, each chat exchange, each interaction which requires our response - they all take precious time. The only other option is to draw a line and switch off the custom offer - something we don't wish to do because we know how important personal projects are and how much personal satisfaction they bring to the modeller when finished - and we get a buzz from your satisfaction. All we can do is politely request that people bear this in mind when waiting for what is a very niche and specialist service, and help us stay focussed on working through the endless influx of requests. We love what we do and hope that the results bring joy to those involved such as is seen in the kind comments in this thread. Thanks in advance for your patience, Steve

railtec-models
Is Railtec's website down at the moment or is it just me? The woeful web host is having some issues at the minute. They tell us their admins "are working on it". I can only assume they have run out of hamsters or hamster wheels. Normal service should resume shortly, which is just as well as we've just put out a bucket load of sub-sector packs for Petroleum, Metals, Aggregates and Coal! bubbles2
Hi Steve, I did ask the question below on another thread, but I think you must of missed it. Are the COV AB transfers http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=1745avaliable in 4mm scale to back date the Bachmann VBB / VBAs? I could also do with some 4mm ex GWR fruit D transfers for the BR blue era for some Parkside kits, are these likely to be on your to do list or should I go down the custom route. Thanks Geoff. Hi Geoff, certainly the COV ABs will make an appearance at some point. As for the Fruit Ds, again these will likely be a pack when we get the opportunity, though you might have gathered we get absolutely slammed 7 days a week and there are only so many hands to do the work! What would perhaps help with the Fruit Ds is if you can email through as much info as you can detailing any specific markings you would find useful (perhaps also a good point at which to influence what running numbers you might like to see). In both cases however - and I can't stress this enough - we can't commit to any kind of ETA due to sheer workload - ref http://www.railtec-models.com/workload.php. Thanks, Steve Edited March 16, 2016 by railtec-models
