The clubrooms will be open from 10am to 4pm and several layouts will be on display.

Earlsheaton, (00) will be running.

The scenic part of Troutons will be erected in the main clubroom and hopefully some trains will be running.

The new N gauge layout Flushdyke will be on display with team members showing progress so far along with details of their planning and prototype research.

6 boards of Lancaster (Green Ayre) will be up with team members demonstrating some of the scenic and building modelling along with a demo piece of OHLE.

Mike Walton will be showing progress on his new Austrian narrow gauge line based on the Mariazellerbahn

Olly Edwards will be showing Squaddies Bottom His freelance layout which is coming on by leaps and bounds.

In addition other members will be around demonstrating various aspects of modelling including one member showing how to model whilst in a wheelchair.

Hot drinks will be available throughout the day.

The clubrooms are on Back Garden Street, Wakefield. the post code is WF1 1DX next door to Turners Hardware and at the rear of Booths Furniture Store, just off Ings road.

The clubrooms are only approx. 10 minutes walk from Wakefield Westgate station.  Turn right out of the station and keep following the east side of the railway line, cross Westgate and keep going downhill and as near to the railway line as possible.  The clubroom backs onto the embankment just before the start of the 99 arches.

Tonight has been a busy evening for the teams tat turned up.  Two committee members were hard at work putting the new club sign up on the outside wall.   So this is what the clubrooms now look like.

Nice pictures Jamie. That one of the clubrooms has come out very well. I've got camera envy again!

Earlsheaton is looking smart and will be operating tomorrow. Plenty of other layouts under construction with those responsible easy and willing to talk about them.

Come along tomorrow between 10 and 4. Should be a good day.

Martin.

The Troutons team and I went down to finish setting up this morning. The results looked good.

Green Ayre is in it's new home in the back room on the ground floor which makes modelling from a wheelchair possible.

We've got the station boards and the second of the coal yard boards up and will be working on basic scenic including cladding walls in DAS if anyone wants to come and have a look.

The various modelling implements and supplies are stacked up where they will be needed.

Troutons was put up in the main clubroom and the team managed to get all the front scenic section erected. They even managed to get power on and while I was taking these photos a 66 started up and was ticking over in the container yard.

Come along if you can, any time between 10am and 4pm and have a natter with the various teams. There will even be a demo of wheelchair modelling with Tony making gates on a table attached to his chariot.
