Hi,

an update on the Western model. Ive now extended one end of the model by approx. 2.5mm, and have now filled all the joins with filler. I have only done one end so far, as this can allow to iron any problems that may happen whilst extending the model. The Heljan front skirting is now almost ready for fitement, but I have now run into a problem that has plagued the Heljan model, and that is the clearance between the skirting and the bogie. Now im pondering if I have to extend the chassis anymore or wheter I will have to stick with the Lima bogie. If the Heljan bogie does fit and all is ok clearance wise, I can continue with my plan to remotor this model using the Heljan gear tower with modeltorque ATC.

Whilst ive been pondering on that, ive also been working on a Lima class 156. Pictures show the model on my Friends' layout, and some of the components prior to being glued onto the underframe, more to follow. The model is to become 156483 in provinical livery in 2001 condition, shortly before being repainted in Northern Spirit livery. Because of the non-availibility of the Hurst models' underframe kit, the box on the Lima 156 is being replaced with scracth built parts, re-using the Lima mouldings. Still to do is the Intercooler and the engine radiator, as well as rebuilding the end exhuasts, renumbering, and repainted the cab ends and replacing the glazing as well... more on this project later

Finally, 47145 from my fleet has been out on a proper run, to stretch its wheels ive included some pictures of it also on my friends' layout whilst "playing trains"
