Problems with new version of templot

Dear all,

 

When installing the latest Templot 2 version as an update to my existing templot 2 I get the attached error message.  I also get the message when having deleted the old templot 2 version and install a complete new one.  Any help?

Hi Duncan,

The problem is almost certainly your McAfee anti-virus. In fact almost all problems anyone has ever reported when installing Templot have always been caused by anti-virus programs. Please turn it off while installing Templot, or tell it to allow Templot to install. You may need to restart Windows.

That appears to be Windows 10? You don't need any 3rd-party anti-virus programs with that because Windows 10 comes which its own (free) Windows Defender anti-virus program which works very well (without interfering with Templot).
