VanBasten
MDS Modell presented in Stuttgart in these days (at the ENSC, the European N Scale Convention 2017) some 1:150, for 9 mm gauge, RhB models. A totally new Ge 4/4 II (very well done) is their first loco, offered in different liveries. Impressive. Only plastic production, very high industrial quality IMHO. Prices for the loco are about 180 euro, foreseen digital models + sound. Fantastic are also the Haik-v freight cars, again in plastic and offered in many liveries (Valser, RhB with red or blue stripes, Calanda Brau, HG Commerciale). The price is simply incredible - only 27,5 euro each, sets of two cars are offered at 52,5 euro. My impression has been excellent, these are great pieces. Perfect companions to the Kato models... https://mds-modell.eu/produkte/
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted November 26, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 26, 2017 Excellent I'll have to keep an eye on the vans especially
wollastonblue
I will add some vans to my shopping list straight away. Not sure about the GE4/4II compared to the Kato version for value currently on pre-order in Japan for £52ish. I hope that they do sell though and add some other stock to their productions. RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted November 27, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 27, 2017 It's slightly bizarre but the Kato locos are a lot more expensive in Germany so compare well to these over there. The Albula 'squiggle' was nearly double the price in certain shops over there. Unfortunately as the MDS ones appear to be made there we won't see any similar drop The range of liveries is impressive though.
Gordonwis
My mate Paul was in Stuttgart and relaid this news to me. His reaction was 'superb' I have tried to order but you can't change the delivery address of the country - it is fixed as 'Deutschland' - aargh! I submitted a query abut this using their 'contact' form but have had no response... . Edited December 2, 2017 by Gordonwis

VanBasten
The price of the loco has been upgraded, now on their site the Ge 4/4 II is offered at less than 150 euro (red livery version). Absolutely interesting.
