Supplier of Nickel Silver Bar

Does any anyone know of a UK supplier of Nickel Silver bar (preferably with online ordering). I'm wanting to make a set of coupling rods for a 7mm scale locomotive for which I require [minimum] 6mm x 3mm bar. None of the suppliers I've looked at have anything that thick, but I'd like to avoid laminating the rods.

I can't help you with a UK supplier.

 

You may be able to get some form these guys (see below - but note that in best tradition they are closed for August) although I think it may be difficult in aluminium. Is aluminium a good idea anyway? Perhaps a bit soft unless you are putting in some bearings.

Do you have access to machining/milling facilities?  Nickel-silver rod 8mm diameter 100mm long is available for electro-plating purposes, see ebay item 122946789093.

There are a number of different grades.

I think their minimum order quantity/value may be a problem.
